(This picture is about the CSAT test site 1)

CSAT(College Scholastic Ability Test) is a types of standardized test accepted by all South Korean Universities. CSAT also known as Suneung. This test is managed by the Korean Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation. The test is usually offered on the second Thursday of November.
On the test day, government employees arrive to work later than the ordinary time to avoid traffic jams that could prevent students from getting to testing sites. The CSAT is one of the most rigorous standardized tests in existence, and students start preparing for it as early as elementary school. Since South Korea has one of the highest number of post-secondary degree holders in the world, the extreme pressure felt by students culminate to teenage depression and high rates of suicide.
Often, students are escorted by police, especially if students don't think they will arrive at the test center on time.

Since the test is almost a life-or-death exam for students, the preparation for it is so secure and strict that since its beginning from 1993, Suneung questions were never leaked. Questions are made by chosen prefessors and teachers, who are locked in a hotel with blacked windows, no communication and a full library of questions until the end of Suneung.

Also, getting a good job closely related in future husband or wife in Korea. For example, there is a college ranking in Korea. Sometimes, people would judge you when you want to marry with somebody. To prove yourself that I am a decent man, many Koreans want to go college. CSAT is the fundamental test whether you can live a success life or not and it is over for just one day. I am writing to share with you a math problem from the Korean SAT, the CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test). This problem is from the math section of the 1997 CSAT, a test known to have harder questions than other years. I am curious to know how you would solve it. Thank you in advance for your time. J.) Here is the problem. In the day of Suneung, which comes every November, silence falls over Korea. Suneung is an eight-hour marathon of back-to-back exams which students spend lit. Test takers are usually given two types of essays – “big” (700-800 words) and “micro” (150 words). Answers are then graded by an evaluator. Recent essays have come under fire for “perplexing” prompts. Students taking the gaokao in Hunan in 2013 were baffled by the following topic: “It flies upward, and a voice asks if it is. Most of the questions are, imo, a little easier than these, but they're all of similar length. I've found that for many of the questions which ask stuff like 'what is the topic', or 'what is the most appropriate title', you often only need to read the first one or two sentences of a 15-sentence passage, and a modicum of logic, to get the answer right.
